Have you ever noticed how excitement spreads? When someone walks into a room genuinely excited about something, others start to feel it too. The same thing happens with our relationship with God. When we truly love Jesus and live with real spiritual passion, people around us begin to notice something different about us. This devotional explores how authentic spiritual fire naturally spreads to everyone in our lives—our families, friends, and even strangers we meet.
Short Devotional
Think about the people who have influenced your faith the most. Chances are, they weren’t the ones who preached at you or tried to convince you to believe. Instead, they were probably people whose love for God was so real and joyful that you wanted what they had. Their spiritual passion was contagious, spreading naturally through their words, actions, and attitudes. There’s something powerful about authentic faith that draws others in without any pressure or manipulation.
This is exactly what Paul talks about when he says, “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.” When we serve God with real enthusiasm and joy, it shows up in everything we do. Our coworkers notice we handle stress differently. Our families see that we forgive more easily. Our friends observe that we have hope even in difficult times. We become living examples of what it looks like to know and love Jesus, and that example is more powerful than any sermon.
Let's Pray
Heavenly Father,
I come before You knowing that You are always with me. Thank You for Your constant presence and love in my life.
I confess that sometimes my passion for You grows cold, and I go through the motions of faith without real enthusiasm. Help me to serve You with the kind of genuine excitement like Paul.
Lord, I want my love for You to be so real that it naturally influences everyone around me. Not in a pushy way, but in a way that draws people to You because they see Your joy and peace in my life.
When I’m at work, help me to show Your character through my attitude and actions. When I’m with my family, let them see Your patience and love flowing through me. When I’m with friends, may they notice something different about how I handle life’s challenges.
I know there are people in my life who are watching how I live out my faith. Some may be curious about You, others may be struggling with their own relationship with You.
Help me to be a positive example, not perfect, but authentic. Let my enthusiasm for You be contagious in the best possible way.
Forgive me for the times when I’ve been lazy in my spiritual life or when my actions have turned people away from You instead of drawing them closer.
Give me fresh passion for You and help me to serve You with joy every single day.
I trust that You will work through me to touch the lives of others.

Remember that God has placed you exactly where you are to be a light for Him. Your authentic love for Jesus is one of the most powerful tools He has to reach others. When you live with real spiritual passion, you become part of how God draws people to Himself. Trust that He will use your genuine faith to impact the lives around you in ways you may never even know about.
